Sell your Pokémon cards in Grand Rapids

I am a Grand Rapids buyer, not a national mail-in service with a local page. Send photos and get a real number back, usually the same day — or if you are inside 40 miles, I will come to you and pay you on the spot.

  • Up to 90% of market on graded slabs
  • No fees taken out of your number
  • Same day response

Who you are dealing with

One local buyer, start to finish

I live here. I buy the cards myself, I make the offer myself, and if you are close enough I will drive out and pay you on the spot. There is no call centre and no middleman taking a slice of your number.

What is different about a Grand Rapids deal

Paid the way you want to be paid

Cash in hand on an in-person deal, or PayPal, Venmo, Wise or a direct wire if you would rather have it in an account. Your choice, not mine.

Nothing leaves your hands until you accept

You see the offer and the sales behind it before anything changes hands. If the number is not right, we shake hands and you keep your cards.

Big collections do not have to be boxed up

Estate lots, shoeboxes and binders that have not moved since 2003 are easier to look at in person than to photograph. If it is a large collection, say so and I will come to you.

Getting paid

Pick how the money reaches you

On an in-person deal you can walk away with cash. If you would rather have it land in an account, say so and it goes out the same day. No fee comes off your number for any of these — the offer you accept is the amount you get.

  • Cash In person, on the spot
  • PayPal Goods & Services
  • Venmo Instant to your balance
  • Wise Low-fee transfers
  • Wire transfer Direct to your bank

What we pay

The rates are the same everywhere, and they are published

Local shops generally pay 60–75% of market value on graded cards and 40–60% on raw. Orbley pays up to 90% on graded slabs, with most deals landing 80–85% — and the offer shows you the comparable sales it was built from, so you can check the arithmetic yourself. No online buyer I compete with will publish a number at all.

Takes about two minutes. Nothing is binding — you are getting a number, not signing anything.

What makes a good photo

  • Flat surface, straight overhead, no flash glare
  • The whole card or slab inside the frame
  • Cert number readable on graded cards
  • For big collections, a photo per binder page is plenty

    Grand Rapids questions

    Asked locally

Can I just meet you somewhere instead of shipping?

Yes, anywhere sensible inside about 40 miles of Grand Rapids. A coffee shop or a bank lobby is fine — plenty of people prefer somewhere public, and so do I.

Do I get paid on the spot?

On an in-person deal, yes. You see the offer, you accept it, and you walk away with cash. If you would rather not carry it, I can send it by PayPal, Venmo, Wise or a direct wire before you leave the table instead.

My collection is huge and unsorted. Is that a problem?

No — and it is the main reason to do this in person rather than by photo. Unsorted boxes are much faster to go through on a table than through a camera.

What if I decide not to sell?

Then you keep your cards and we are done. Getting a number costs nothing and commits you to nothing.

    Do you only want vintage?

Vintage is where we pay the most, but we buy modern graded, sealed product and mixed collections too. Send whatever you have.
