Privacy Policy
Orbley Cards buys Pokémon cards, graded slabs, sealed product and collections. To make you an offer we need a few details and your photos. This page explains exactly what we collect, why, who else sees it, and how to get it deleted. If anything here is unclear, email sell@orbley.com and ask.
Who we are
Orbley Cards is operated by Ryan Bailey in Grand Rapids, Michigan, United States. For any privacy question, correction or deletion request, contact sell@orbley.com.
What we collect
We collect two kinds of information: what you hand us, and what your browser reports.
Information you submit
- Your name — so we know who we are talking to.
- Your email address — to send the offer and follow up.
- Your phone number, if you give it — only used if you ask to be texted or called.
- Your preferred contact method — email, text or phone.
- What you are selling — the cards, slabs, sealed items or collection you describe, and an asking price if you name one.
- Your photos — the images you upload of your cards, slabs or sealed product.
We do not ask for and do not want your Social Security number, date of birth, bank login, card number or any government ID through this form. Please do not send them. If a completed purchase later requires payment details, we will arrange that separately and tell you how.
Information collected automatically
- Standard server and log data — IP address, browser type, the pages you viewed and when. Our host records this to serve the site and block abuse.
- Analytics and advertising measurement — if you arrived from one of our ads, cookies and similar identifiers tell us that an ad produced a visit and whether that visit ended in a submission. We see totals and patterns, not your identity.
Why we collect it
- To identify your cards and research recent comparable sales.
- To send you an offer and answer your questions about it.
- To arrange shipping, pickup or payment if you accept.
- To keep records of purchases we complete, as any business must.
- To measure whether our advertising works, and to prevent fraud and abuse.
What we do not do
We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent or trade your email address or phone number, and we do not add you to a marketing list because you asked for an offer. We will not share your photos or what you own with other collectors, dealers or buyers.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of outside services to run the site. Each one only receives what it needs to do its job, and each has its own privacy policy.
- Our web host — serves the site and stores your uploaded photos so we can review them.
- Our email provider — delivers your submission to our inbox.
- Google Analytics and Google Ads — measure site traffic and whether our ads lead to submissions.
- Shipping and payment providers — only if you accept an offer, and only the details needed to ship and pay.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights, safety or property. If a submission looks like an attempt to sell stolen property, we may report it.
How long we keep it
- Submissions that do not lead to a purchase — we keep the message and photos for up to 12 months, in case you come back, then delete them.
- Completed purchases — we keep the transaction record as long as business and tax rules require, which is longer than 12 months.
- Analytics data — retained according to the retention setting in our analytics account.
You can ask us to delete your submission sooner, and we will.
Your choices and rights
You can email sell@orbley.com at any time to:
- Ask what we hold about you.
- Correct anything wrong.
- Have your submission and photos deleted.
- Tell us to stop contacting you.
We will respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live, state or national privacy law may give you further rights; we will honor those requests as the law requires and will not treat you differently for making one. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and opt out of ad personalization in Google's ad settings. Blocking cookies does not stop you from using the form.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS, and your submission travels encrypted. We limit who can see submissions to the people who need to price them. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute security — but we will tell you promptly if a breach affects your information.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. Plenty of young collectors own valuable cards — if you are under 18, please have a parent or guardian handle the sale. If we learn we have collected a child's information, we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will be noted clearly rather than slipped in quietly.
